In 2008 we bought part of Palazzo Piccioli in Carapelle Calvisio. The palazzo was built between the 13th and 17th century. It is the most important lord residence of the village, and the view from it’s windows overlooks the whole valley.

We immediately fell in love with the space, the village, and it’s quiet, secluded simplicity. That’s how our project to create an artist residency was born. We were, and we are today, driven by the possibility of spending time and work in a place like Carapelle Calvisio, in order to connect the simplicity of this place and artist creativity.

After few month we started working on the restoration project. But sadly everything was stopped on 6th of april : the terrible earthquake that destroyed part of Abruzzo had seriously damaged as well Palazzo Piccioli.

Today, more than before, we believe in this idea.
We see in the potentials of Palazzo Piccioli, as well as the region, and we are looking for funds in order to restore the damages caused by the earthquake. We want to bring back to life the original beauty of Palazzo Piccioli, and we believe that art could help this land.
